I think I finally got the last of the leaks fixed. Installed a felpro 1 piece oil pan gasket. So far clean floor under engine bay now.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Hi all...newbie here. first post or reply, not really sure what I'm doing yet.LOL
We have a 69 GMC 910 that we are working on (my 2 boys and I) long bed. Just have the box off along with shocks and springs and are coating the frame etc with POR 15 and lowering it 3"in the rear and 1" in the front. I want to install a rear sway bar and eventually a front. Still have drums all around and will get to that another time when we have the money. Question is what do I need to do this properly and what is the best way. I want to start with the rear first. I have a 400 SBC with a gear vendor overdive with a one piece drive shaft already installed I understand that I can use a rear sway bar assembly from a 95 -96 Camaro any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Looks real nice.. but I have a question for you. Do those thick back seats put you too close to the wheel and cramp your legs any?

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Not much to report. Did get a new gauge set installed in my old work truck. The blue LED's make the rest of the lights look dull so that's the next update for this old truck.

Busy weekend, first installed the dash lights with LEDs. Wow what a difference. Then I was able to install my new diamond plate and paint my trucks bedroom. Now for some decorations. LOL

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

"Restored" my driver side door on my 1970 GMC. Removed door panel. Washed out inside of the lower door w/Dawn, brush and rinse. Blow dry w/air hose. Remove upper/lower door trim, door handle, mirror, door lock and "custom" emblem. Wet sand door (lower inside and the entire outside) w/1500. Buff w/Wizard compound; wax, buff, wax, wax, buff... Clean up "Custom" badge, door handle and window roll up handle w/toothbrush and Barkeeper's Friend. Used Dremel to buff the door/key lock cylinder (sweet). Used heat gun to remove old woodgrain trim and replaced w/new...looks great. Had to hammer and dolly a couple of dents in it, also. Put it all back together except for the lower trim before it got too dark. Did not put the door panel back on because there's significant rust behind the vinyl covering...so looking for one of those. Found 3 metal passenger sides in the barn, but no driver.....Absolutely wonderful late fall day in OK, had Christmas music playing all day...was in a good place.
