Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

Thanks for the nice comments! It feels good to actually see and drive my vision.
It has 3:73 gears. It cruises at about 2300 rpm at 75mph.
Fuel economy is horrible, probably 15mpg. I'm working on tuning it with a wide band oxygen sensor to improve my fuel economy. Here is a picture of the engine compartment, before I was finished though..

That's good economy for a 6.0L, they're pigs. Hopefully you can get the economy up a bit though. My '46 gets similar mileage, with my carbureted 455 Buick.

Cafetony,

Love the look of your project so far! Let me know if you ever want (or need) an extra set of hands... I'm just north of you in Olympia.

This is my 71 flatbed. This truck was originally ordered as a cab chasis & the bed was put on @ the dealership. It was originally the service truck for the gulf station in Hickory, NC.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

I don't think I posted my sons truck after "the drop" here goes. Full Porter Built drop members. Pieced together tanks and compressors. He's saving up for Accuair next. Still has to fab in the hood hinges but I think he likes cruising without the hood for now. Sucks when it rains though. Started out as 250 3 spd truck, then got a 350. Then got a truck 4 spd. Then got a T350. Then got a little warmer 350.
