Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

A couple of shots of the 69 I picked up this summer. Hopefully I'll get a chance to start working on it next summer.

Okay you Pic Hoes here is what I have so far. The truck is an all original numbers matching 327 powerglide small glass truck. Plan is to give it a full shave and color (08 Corvette Yellow). New wood bed, disc conversion from an 84, Rear end (???? help in the other forum, 2/4 drop?, Bucket seats, and then)

Hope you enjoy

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

Here's my 1970 Chevrolet Suburban Ambulance from National Custom Coaches. It was originally given to the city of Beresford, SD by the governor of the state Frank Farrar.
I have been thinking about turning it into a 4-wheel drive. Anyone happen to know what years Suburban frames go underneath of this? I was told by a friend last night that he has an '87 and the frame is the same and he has an extra!?!?!?!

Mattieroo, I know with the trucks, the later models had a different wheelbase. Hopefully someone will post that knows the subs better.

the frames are definitely different, the only frames that will bolt right under it without mods are the 67-72 suburban frames

Your headers don't scrap anything? they look awfully low. What kind are they?

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

they don't hang near as low as the hedman headers that i had on it. They are the supercomps by hooker, the only equal length headers that i could find for our trucks. They haven't hit anything yet...

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

Here's my Oshawa built 67 Gmc. It is the 99th truck built. Runs the mighty 250 and 3 gear on the tree. Converted to floor shifter though. PO did the paint. Get's me around the Island nicely. An old geezer driving an old geezer truck. LOL.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

All the trucks posted here look great! If I can't get to work on mine, at least I can look and see what they look like when done, or at least in the process! (Are these trucks really EVER done??)

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

My first truck, 1969 Custom/10 4x4:chevy. Its all tore apart right now cause i'm planning on a full frame-off restoration. What i have to show of it is my freshly built motor. But let me know what you think of it.

So you get an idea of the finish quality of my truck check out some cars (including dover white real yenko chevelle) at....

lol.. its the stock steering wheel. picture is just at the right angle to make it look that close to the seat. besides, the seat is so worn out on the driver's side, that clearance is no problemo!
