Ram Horn Clearance--

Has anyone seen swept back style ram horn exhaust manifolds that have a 2 1/2” outlet? I can only find this style in a 2” outlet. I have seen 2 1/2” outlet manifolds but the all exit straight down and I’m worried this will make it harder to keep the rest of the exhaust off of the ground. I want to be able to drop my blazer on the LCAs and still keep my exhaust off of the ground. Is this possible with the straight down exiting manifolds? I have shorty style ceramic coated Hedman’s currently but I had to dimple them the get them to “fit” and I don’t like that.

If anyone needs an example of the swept back style I can post a picture once I find it.

This what you are talking about? It's upside down in the picture.

Re: Ram Horn Clearance--

Believe me, I've been on eBay. I can't find them. At this point I just want to know if they exist so I can continue my search before I settle for something different.

Thats what I was afraid of^^^

Does anyone have the straight down style on a bagged truck? Should I worry about clearance or will I have enough room to bend 2 1/2" pipe before it hangs lower than my LCAs?

Thanks- I just read the entire thread. Good info there. Does anyone know where I can get 2 1/2" mandrell bent pipe (pre-bent) like the fist picture in the linked thread? Too bad he is sold out.

Re: Ram Horn Clearance--

You can get a ( GOOD) muffler shop to run the exhaust. If you run a mini-starter, that will solve alot of the clearence problems. I had those manifolds on a truck that was lowered 4 1/2 and 6 3/4 in the rear. I know that's not bags. I used a 90 model Chevy truck starter, but the mini would give you quite a bit more room for the bend you need.

All of the original 2-1/2" gm p/n 3846559 & p/n 3747042 ram horn manifolds dump straight down and were standard equip. on all 62-65 high performance chevy small blocks with fueler heads and a rating of 300hp or more, they were found on vetts, impalas and a few chevelles. Cb
