Visor brackets
Has anyone replaced their visor brackets only? My sun visors are in good shape, but the mounting bracket on the driver's side is broken, and the passenger side is cracked. I removed the driver's side visor to see how difficult it would be to replace the bracket with a replacement like the one from Brothers, but I can't see how to seperate the visor from the bracket.

the old visor bracket and rod must be pulled straight out of the visor body. it's a pain, believe me!

yes, they are a bugger to get seperated! I think they had a glue of some sort applied at the factory that made them not droop over the years.
try a twisting motion while pulling hard...... uh, I mean the visor bracket...

The way I seperate them is to drop a few drops of "3 in 1" oil into the rods then start twisting them back and forth. They will come out after a few minutes of hard twisting
There is a split sleeve inside the visor that the rod slides into.
