A weekend hike turns into...

...a search for a truck.

I took my wife and two boys (and the bun in the oven) on a hike in the Oregon coast range to find some waterfalls. We hiked maybe ten miles by the end if the day and I know my wife was beat and the two boys starting to thump on each other told me they were tired too. So long long story short... on the way home Im driving through the countrydies when I spot some cab marker lights poking out of some blackberries.

I look over at the wife and she can tell what Im about to ask so I ask the boys if they feel like checking out the brambles... the ten year old says "Heck yah!"

Turn around and drive back and after getting a little closer without getting shot indeed markers and a complete truck under them. Rust in the bed is complete rot through and obviously it was parked and not driven for a reason but I cant help myself. Next month Im going to knock on the door and buy it. Mainly because I always wanted a cab marker truck. I wont know completely what I found until we hack away what looks to be 10 years of brambles...its way in there. Im actually SURPRISED I even caught it. Its either desinty ot my spidey senses... either way Im really excited.

When I get it home Ill post again if the old man who owns the farm takes a shine to me. If he is cranky and I get plugged full of lead as many are apt to do...well nuf said. I've read a few posts where a guy will see a frontend sticking out of a barn or a tailight here or there but if the marker didn't glint in the sun at that time of day I would never guessed at and enitre truck back in there...

That's wild man, do keep us posted and get us pics if you can.

There should be a show about saving cars from the weeds.....I've found a few myself that I'd have gotten if I could.
