hard fuel line material

What material is used for the hard fuel line? Is it copper? Or steel? Or does it not really matter? I am wanting to replace part of the line and play around with fuel routing and since it is right near the engine I dont really want to use rubber.

your going to want to use steel line never seen anyone use copper line.
