Holley Guys! Help

I can't get the fuel to stop pouring into the carb!
I have the primaries set-up good but the sec. bowls won't stop flowing?
I have the Float adj. screwed all the way down but it still is coming out
the check hole.

Any ideas?

Its a Holley 4150 with center hung float bowls, w/ dual feed single pump.

Help! I just wasted my plugs, oil and filter

Sounds like the needle and seat are stuck,or wornout.Or the float is bad.Either way that's what shuts the gas off, that's where I would look first.

Ya those parts are new? Could it be the float is sunk or the spring return is no good.
These bowls should handle stock fuel pump pressure right?

Where do you guys have your float adj?? almost at the bottom ( screwed in all the way) or in the middle ? Mine seems to like the screw almost all the way in?
Which leaves no room for play!
??

You have to adjust the secondaries, not turn the screw all the way in.. If you don't want any fuel to run to the secondaries, ( which doesn't make sence) you will have to stop the fuel flow to the secondaries altogether..

To adjust the floats on a Holley, Unscrew the brass plugs and adjust the adjusters ( screw on top) until the fuel ( while the car/truck is running) is just seeping out the bottom of the brass plug hole..

You might try pulling the whole needle and seat out other wise you are gonna have to jerk the bowl off and see why the float isnt rising and the needle not seating to shut the flow of gas off

You are going to have to take the bowl off and Re-adjust the float. When it was cranked down it bent the tabs on the float itself..

You can remove both bowls and get an idea fron the front one about where the tabs should be.

Sorry, I didn't think about this until Sneakysnake posted. If I was there I could help you,,, Sorry...

Thanks guys! I am going to pull the bowls to see what's up!
I wasn't sure if maybe the fuel psi was to much but it is a stock pump so that can't be it.

cleaned up the plugs and took the main fuel line off.
It started right up and I was able to move it where I needed it to be.
I then put the fuel line back on and tried it and I really have a problem
with the back bowl...........?
