Question ignition switch replacement 85 c-30

i have a 85 c-30 and need to replace the ignition/ key assembly. (the top is sheared off and is very difficult to turn. ) There is no pin hole on the fron plate, so Im thinking I have to pull off the steering wheel, horn assembly to get to it. Does anyone know the best way to do this? Its an automatic as well so this looks like a bit of a nasty project. Any good ideas?

a c 30 is the same as any c10 or 20 pickup get a haynes or chiltons manual and follow the directions and its easy enough if ya have the right tools youll need a wheel puller and a ring remover cause youll have to take the wheel off, pull the retaining ring for the top of the inner piece pull out the turn signal thing and pull out the switch retainers
