manualk Transmissions for sale

I decided on going with a SBC/700R setup so I'm trying to clean out the garage and get a little money to buy a good 700R to make the transition. I removed #3 to install #1. I have not installed trans #2 but its complete and I purchased the gasket kit.

1) NP440 4-speed OD for Chevy. Same as the mopar A833 but with the chevy bolt patern off a 1986 chevy truck. comes with shifter and ready to go. currently in my 69c10. runs good no leaks. $325 SOLD

2) NP440 4-speed OD for Chevy. Same as the mopar A833 but with the chevy bolt patern off a 1985 chevy truck. comes with shifter. was going to be my spare. have new seals and gasket kit. $250 SOLD

Re: manualk Transmissions for sale

not bad, let me ask a few questions. i have a 57 3200 I want to use the trans in. Stock v-8 and 4 speed. It has the bellhousing mounts that go to the frame. Would that trans bolt to that bellhousing, not worried about driveshaft but don't want to redo the bellhousing ect.

The shifter is about the same location ? no problems with a bench seat?

Plus money is always a factor, the # 2 trans.......just needs to be resealed and it's good
to go? shifter good shape?

I had one of these trans in a 86 lwb that I bracket raced with a spool and nitrous and had no problems, liked how it shifted. I want the OD because my 57 has 4:10 in it.

Thanks,
Steve

Re: manual Transmissions for sale

The trans mounts directly to the bell housing and its the same length as the original three speed I removed so there was no need to modify the drive shaft. I believe the overall length is also equal to that of a T350. As long as its chevy, the bolt pattern will work fine. The important part is that the input diameter on the bellhousing must be the same size (large) as the front trans bearing retainer from the tranny. Chevy made two sizes, 5 1/8" and 4 9/16". The three speed I removed from my 69SWB and this tranny have the larger 5 1/8" diameter.

I have the bench set and it fits and looks perfect (I was actually surprised). As for the price, I never tested #2. It is complete and looks good visually. I purchased #1 after #2 only because it literally came out of a running truck and came with everything. If you need a bell housing, I will through it in just pay for the added weight. I can take pics of the tranny and how the shifter rest on 1st and 4th.

Re: manualk Transmissions for sale

I forgot to mention that I have the gaskets and seals only because I was in the process of installing it in my truck when I found trans #1.
