Help With a Carb??

Hi, my dad has a 1987 350 chevy in his short bed custom deluxe. (Which I am going to keep). But he has a 302 ford carb on it and I want to know which is a good, or the best carb for this stock engine.
Any help please

Re: Help With a Carb??

hello,,there are lot's of different opinions on carbs ..but in my opinion eldelbrock makes a good carb, you can give them some specs on your motor (size, intake manifold etc. )and they can set you up with the right carb, but so will other company's,,also depends on money you wanna spend, that type of thing.

Re: Help With a Carb??

you can find Quads anywhere. Most people will give them away. I dont think many people give away Edlebrock carbs!!

Thanx but I am actually looking into Edelbrock because they are easier to work with. The good thing is that (I just found out) the 1990 chevy engine in Mexico is actually an earlier model than an 87 here in the US, it's more like an 84 or 85. And because of that I can just bolt on the Edelbrock carb right out of the box on the 84-85 model instead of having to get an adaptor for the later 87 model.
