71 nova

Been talking to a man about selling this nova. It's a factory 350 car and currently has a 350.. It has buckets and a m21 4-speed. He said there isomorphic rust in the trunk but rest of the body is straight.. Says there is no air, heat, power steering. Now I haven't been able to go look at this car because it's about 6 hours away.. So can anyone tell me if they think this is a good car for the asking price of 5700 just by looking at the pictures.. Thanks

Re: 71 nova

If it is as listed I'd call that a good deal.

I drove almost 700 miles to pick up a "rust free Georgia car". It had tons of rust. The seller said you have to expect that on old cars. I mentioned his ad and the "rust free" part. He just looked me in the eye and said, "do you want it or not?"

Find someone close that can look at it for you. If you buy the car take them out to lunch.
Either check on this forum or find someone on a Nova forum that will look at it for you.

I walked away from the car and a $100 deposit. It was an eBay sale and the guy tried to brand me as a dead beat buyer. I took photos of the rust holes when I was there. eBay accepted my reason for not buying but they didn’t care about the deposit he kept.
