Re: Chrome 17" 96 Impala wheels?

check my avatar- i have 17" impalla wheels on my 81.
they tuck in a little more than my taste in the rear, but they are what i got.... I think a 1.5 spacer in the rear would help.

Re: Chrome 17" 96 Impala wheels?

Do you have a picture of the 255/60R17 on the front? I have a set of 255/60R17 Good Year Eagle GT tires in my garage. I want to know what they would look like on a truck. I just need a set of 17" 5X5 wheels for mounting. If I don't use them on my truck, I'll mount them on my 96 Jimmy when the current tires wear out.

Re: Chrome 17" 96 Impala wheels?

hey Gerardo,
I don't have any pix fo those tires on the front.
i can tell you that , though I think that they would fit.. it wont turn or take the bumps too well.
the tire thats on there will rub the inner fender well on a hard bump.
i had 225/55s on the front before the 235/55s i think i might be able to go 245/55's but that would be about it....

Re: Chrome 17" 96 Impala wheels?

I don't worry about bumps anymore. I lowered mine with good springs and bushings. I had 235/60R15 rub until I rebuilt the suspension. Now I run 255/60R15 with no rubbing. In case of rubbing through, I would trim the inside of the wheel fender. I think I can level mine really well, rubbing will be very minor issue.
