baby's first snow

I mean really... they are our babys...right?
This was taken this morning with my cell... so pardon the crappy pic.

It handles great in the snow, stops good, but taking off is a PITA! Whoever said Posi is good in the snow needs to drive a posi truck then an open diff truck one after the other... open diff wins HANDS DOWN.
Ended up with about 5 inches in my part of town.

Re: baby's first snow

I love snow- especially when it's somwhere else and I don't have none

I'm on the other side about the posi- I've only had a few trucks without them, I hated them. I'd cuss the one wheel wonders regularly. I get all bent out of shape when you can't move even when one wheel is on dry pavement. I admit it takes some getting used to, a change in driving technique. You should try my '72 sometime- locker in the rear, trac- loc in front. Sometimes to get around a corner on ice, I'll stop, crank the wheels & punch it to coax it to turn. If I can keep the truck pointed in the right direction, it will go like hell thru 'bout anything

My wife said they were in a level 2 in the Zanesville area so she stayed home. I would luv to see snow just before Christmas and just after Christmas . Now that would be

Re: baby's first snow

Burby, the red-doored burb
had a very shiny door
And if you ever saw him,
you would even say what for?.

All of the other burbans
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Burby
join in any burnout games

Then one rainy September day
Andy came to say:
"Burby with your door so bright,
How bout we go cross country tonight?"

Then all the burbans loved him
as they burned out with glee,
Burby the red-doored burb,
you've gone down in internet history!

Ok, pretty crappy, but I'll bet someone can come up with something better.

Ugh it is that time of year isn't it! We haven't seen anything measurable yet this yeah though. Mid 60's yesterday, mid 40's when I got off work this afternoon. One or the other NOT BOTH!

Re: baby's first snow

1. Dashing Through The Snow
In My Rusty Chevrolet
Down The Road I Go
Sliding All The Way
I Need New Piston Rings
I Need Some New Snow Tires
My Car Is Held Together
By A Piece Of Chicken Wire
Chorus:
Rust And Smoke The Heater's Broke
The Door Just Blew Away
I Light A Match To See The Dash
And Then I Start To Pray
The Frame Is Bent The Muffler Went
The Radio It's Ok
Oh What Fun It Is To Drive
This Rusty Chevrolet

2. I Went To The Iga
To Get Some Christmas Cheer
I Just Passed Up My Left Front Tire
And Its Getting Hard To Steer
Skidding Down The Highway
Right Past The Negaunee Cops
I Had To Drag My Swampers
To Get The Car To Stop

(repeat Chorus)

3. Bouncing Through The Snowdrifts
In A Big Blue Cloud Of Smoke
People Laugh As I Drive By
I Wonder What's The Joke
I Got To Get To Shopko
To Pick Up The Layaway
Cause Santa Claus Is Coming Soon
In His Big Old Rusty Sleigh

I flew in to Detroit this weekend and drove up to central Michigan....it snowed 5" on Saturday night! It was great, but I was able to leave it and come back here to Texas, where it was 70 degrees at 11:00 PM when I got back

Andy, i have driven many years in minnesota winters with a posi in my 70. Once you are used to driving it, you wouldn't go back to a one legger. A little bit of weight in the rear doesn't hurt either.
