Ignition Wiring

Hi,

I'm trying to remove the plug off of the back of the ignition cylinder. I don't see any clips that are holding it in place. This is the original wiring harness. How do I get the plug off without ripping the wires out. - Thanks.

Re: Ignition Wiring

it has 3 press in prongs for lack of a better description. Look under there with a flashlight, you should see them.
Total PITA.

Ya gotta love old plastic brittle as hell!, I pried mine off with a small slender tipped common screwdriver

Re: Ignition Wiring

when you put it all back together, make sure to add some dielectric grease on the contacts. This connection is a known hot spot that melts in stock trucks, start adding electrinics, and that pink wire gets hotter and hotter.
