New Wiring Harness
I am already thinking about my next winters project for my truck. I bought a set of tri-bar headlites last fall and I want to put air conditioning in my truck plus more electrical stuff as I go. I looked at my fuse box one day last summer and its tired after 35 years of current going through it.
I'm looking for opinions and recommendations of where I should buy my new wiring harness. I figured I could buy one for about 200.00 but the Painless one from Summit Racing is 309.00 and The Ron Francis one is 389.00. Has anyone installed one of these two in a together truck. How tough are they to install? Any install pics would be great too.

Re: New Wiring Harness
The one I always like to install is the painless universal- GM column 18 circut harness. They give you plenty is wire for even a Burb and every wire is labled about every 12" as to what is I.E. RT FRONT TURN, LOW BEAM FRNT LEFT, PARKING LIGHT REAR and so on. The only problem is it is not made to fit into the stock hole in the fire wall but they provide a plate to fitt the hole and the new hatness runs thru that. The owner of the project I am working on now picked it up on E-bay for about $175 new in the box from someone else's project gone by.

Re: New Wiring Harness
Call JB's Power Center in Edmonton 780-489-6663 they charge $420 for the 18 circut painless kit, I'm in Edmonton quite often so I just picked it up, don't think shipping would be much though.
