I'm looking for a bolt an electic fan/shroud set up. I believe CPP makes one, are there others out there?

flex-a-lite makes a ton of different sized fans in shroud.

measure your radiator mounting surface, go to their site, and pick one.

Have a look in the FAQ "Another Cheap Elec. Fan Build", You can get a Jeep fan that sits in a stock small block fan shroud. A slot in the botom and drill 2 holes is all that's required. The fan is available new for $65. Unless you want something with a little more "bling".

This is a 3000 cfm fan with a Jegs aftermarket radiator. I made the bottom braket and the top brakets for mounting the radiator. I could not resist the $170.00 radiator price tag....

This flex-a-lite is the perfect size but a lot of money for something that requires a little fabrication. I don't mind the fabrication part, it's the money!

I went with "Flexalite" I did not mind spending $475.00 on them. I was not going to risk my new built motor to save couple of hundred dollars...

like... will connect to your computer via usb?

dude. you have to strip your fan and clutch assy off your harmonic ballancer, remove your fan shroud, figure out how you're going to install the new fan and shroud, wire them with ign 12v, fuse the wiring (maybe), run a thermostat if your fan has variable speed...

not much plug and play.... unless you want to bolt the electric fan blades to your stock fan assy.

what I mean is, does it come with everthing you need to make it work. you don't have to go and buy a bunch of extra little pieces relays, switches, etc. to hook it up, if i'm gonna order something i don't wanna have to make 30 trips to the parts store to make it work....I have already ran my power wire for this. My truck is in the reassembly stage (check my sig) and this is the prime time to be putting one of these in.

As was mentioned above, check out the FAQ "Another Cheap Elec. Fan Build". I just did this on mine and it was pretty easy. The fan was $80 from an ebay vendor. It is only a two wire fan and fits like it was made for the sbc shroud. A thermostat for the passanger side head and a relay to the fan. Pretty simple mod.

We have a dual 12" fan assembly that is as close to bolt on as it gets. I designed it to fot our trucks specificly. It comes complete with everything you need to fit it into your truck. Our systom uses Flex-a-lite fans and gives you choice of materials that the shroud is made from also. Nobody else's that I know of does that. Many board members here have them in their trucks. Nice. How does the shroud attach? Will it work on aftermarket radiators (BeCool or Griffin)? What model fans are you using?

I do not know about all of the aftermarket radiators. The will fit all of the coper and brass radiators that are direct replacements though. They attach with 6 Stainless steel screws into the top and bottom headers of the radiator. WES

The one I got from Old Air Products is a bolt on unit. It fits in place of the stock fan shroud and it worked great with my Be Cool radiator. All that is needed is a switched 12V supply, no other wiring is needed.

FYI.....Make sure your alternator can handle some of these fans. Some pull a hefty amp draw.

I also went with the Jeep fan last Spring. Never any overheating. Stays around 185 to 190 all day long, (even in traffic), and that's with an auto trans cooler in front. I have about $60 total including the used fan & new sensor wiring.

There was a member on here about a year back that was selling them for around $25, but can't remember who it was.

I'm starting to lean towards running the belt driven fan that came with my LS2 and was looking at your site for shrouds. Seems like there are a bunch of different options; small block, big block, 4x4, air/no air. What is the difference between them?

I just got this one. 3500 cfm... Got it for cheap. Refurbished units. Worked perfectly.
You get them on ebay...

$140 bucks...
