We did a full off frame resto on this truck. Used all GM parts including new doors, fenders, hood, trim, bezels, dash, all interior, wing windows, hood hinges, trim, everything.

Lowered 5 1/2 in front, 5 in back. 7 and 8 inch rallys. All new chrome. Nice 350, Pheonix transmission, rebuilt the rear end, suspension, body mounts, on and on.

We did all the work except paying glass man to install a windshield, and Pheonix transmissions to build the tranny.

New GM dash pad, door panel, dash bezels, door panel trim, window regulators, door hinges. Sculpted tweed by my wife. Nice stereo.

Wound up with about 7000 dollars worth of new GM parts in it. I get dealer cost on the parts, which is 10% less than any shop or customer pays, or about 45-50% off normal price. That should give you an idea of how many new parts we used. All the reciepts stack up about three inches tall. We have about 10 thousand in it total and two years of very intense work.

Lots of expensive parts inside the tailgate of one of these things. Regulators and tracks are high. We wound up spending so much money on the top weatherstripping that we're afraid to ever take the top off and risk causing a leak.

Sculpted tweed interior. Tweed covered console. Nice headliner. Handmade carpet, because the out of the box stuff fit like crap. Handmade billet on the console.

I've got to fix a couple of small things on it. Speedo needs recalibrating and it needs a good detail job, then we probably will sell it. She hasn't driven it in two years, it just sets around. I hate to see it go to waste. We are always afraid to drive it anywhere for fear that some knucklehead will hit it or steal it.

That's why we're back to fixing up junk for fun, instead of restoring them fully.

Door panel. New GM panel, new "cup" behind handle, new pull straps and end caps. She made the carpeted sections on the bottom and re-used the original strips. She also made the map pockets, so they would match exactly. Note sculpted tweed insert too. Did I mention that my wife does upholstery. She painted it too.

Custom covered headliner, with perforated vinyl. She made the sunvisors too, so they would match exactly. Actually, we used the stock sunvisor rods, and made new panels, covered them, and sewed them.

Another outside pic and I'm done. No pictures of the engine right now. I'll get some though. I told her to take pictures of her Blazer, but she didn't figure anybody would want to see a 350 for cryin out loud. It's just a Goodwrench with Edelbrock intake and carb, and a little dress up. The engine compartment is painted and detailed pretty good though.

She does the upholstery here at the house. We have a little girl that she's raising. Her full time job is running a company, the upholstery thing is sideline.

We got into upholstery because everyone around here does s-h-i-t-t-y work. The machine cost 1400 dollars and paid for itself in a month or two.

That red and white stripe thing is her tuck and roll stool. It looks like a beach ball or something in the pic.

Not to sidetrack the thread, but what combination of parts did you use in the front? 3" spindles + 2.5" springs or 2.5"spindles +3" springs.

I have a set of 3" spindles to install and was wondering what is required to make Ralleys fit.
