whats this hole
wondering if anyone would know what this hole is for, if anything? it is right above the emergency brake pedal. it is a rough hole jagged edges, lokes like a bullet went through. only goes inside to cowl. there was some soft puddy in it. thanks jeff

Looks like some one put in a drain hole for the cowl.

Re: whats this hole
I don't think that hole is factory, it will have to be plugged somehow or you will have wet feet and carpet.

Re: whats this hole
A drain for the cowl!!!!
But, that is exactly what it'll do. Most likely, some idiot placed an antenna on the drivers side when adding a stereo to a non radio truck. |

Looks to me like a shade-tree CB antenna cable hole or something to me...

To coin a phrase from longtime member Andy, "looks like the dope-smoking ol' man has struck again". Its an -a-hole made by an A-hole!

Re: whats this hole
LOL!!!!
I konda miss finding new things from the dope smokin old man... like when he said... "I was drunk when I did the brakes last time, and I couldn't figure out the self adjusting stuff.... so I left them out" or; Those screws poking through the roof ar for the headliner, i guess the scres were too long." or; I put in another TH350, but this one was shorter so I had to make an arm from the cross member to the tranny...this one has some kind of stupid kick down cable... I never seen that on a TH400... but it's a 400, i KNOW it is." |

Re: whats this hole
the only mystery is that you cannot get to the hole from the outside of the truck. it is passed the cowl opening and it looks like it was drilled from the outside.

Re: whats this hole
I was thinking that too when I posted earlier, couldn't quite figure out how that hole got in there, you can hardly get your hand in there from the top once the outer cowl is welded on. Could it have been a factory "oops" ???

Re: whats this hole
With a thread title like that I can't believe that nobody's mind headed for the gutter...although it might be pretty funny to go there.
