Fuel Pump Question

Do they make a fuel pump with inlet line that is 5/16? The one on my truck is 3/8 but the fuel lined from tank is 5/16

Re: Fuel Pump Question

Which engine do you have?

The fuel line from my tank was a 5/16", but when we put the V-8 in the truck we changed out the sending unit and the fuel line to 3/8".

You are right a brass adapter would work, but since we put a mild built 454 in my truck I thought it would be better to go with 3/8" fuel line.

You could get brass adapters or you may be able to force the hose over it. You can also get a fuel pump for a six?? They used the smaller fuel lines.

Pic from autozone. They're about $20.

Re: Fuel Pump Question

Get an adapter... they are less than $5 retail.... and I may be wrong but a L6 pump wont work correctly on a v8 as I do know that the v8 pumps wont work on the L6
