brake lines for all wheel disc brakes

I would appreciate some opinions on if it is best to run a 3/16" line to the back or a 1/4 " for a all wheel wilwood disc brake set up ?
Wilwood suggest 1/4 like photo but I also understand that some brake experts
say use 3/16 ... I am in the beginning of my 67 build and this is my next step
to plumb the brake lines ...
Thanks in advance ...

Re: brake lines for all wheel disc brakes

I personally have never seen and 3/8" brake lines run to the rear. I just finished my 4th truck and have always run 1/4" to the rear then 3/16" to ea. wheel.

Four wheel disc brakes on my '68 with 3/16-inch stainless all around. No problems.

Re: brake lines for all wheel disc brakes

I have the regular rear lines on my rear disk conversion for my GMC and it seams to be fine. I think it could be better, I have bought a willwood adjustable prop valve and I am leaning towards making 3/16 lines for the rear.

Re: brake lines for all wheel disc brakes

Yes disc brakes all around. With disc brakes it's the pressure that counts, not the volume. It sounds like other guys have run 3/16" to the rear with out any problems.
