Alternator Question

I am converting to a one wire alternator. I have been searching the forums for the better part of the day trying to find a "how-to", but most everything I find is about three wire alternators.

From what I have gathered, I need to:

-Create a jumper at the regulator plug jumping the two outside wires and then jump the two inside wires.
-Attach the red wire to the alternator post
-Cap off the white wire

Is that correct?
What do I do with the blue wire?

Thanks Bugz. I have already read through that thread. It's for a three wire and doesn't tell me what to do with the blue wire.

Toss the stock wiring and run a heavy power cable directly to battery. Then a ground strap and your done. All you need is ground and batt hooked to a 1 wire alt. Never heard of jumping wires.

The gauge will still work?

Voltmeter guage only needs 12v batt and ground. If one of the stock alt wires controls the guage, hook it up with the heavy power cable directly to battery. My voltmeter is wired from fuse box for 12v so I didn't need any other wires on alt.
