Pre-73 photos of your Pre-73 Truck

Some of us are fortunate enough to have photos of their trucks when new, either through family ownership or (in my case) a little luck and research.

I thought a thread with "then and now" would be cool, but I'd like to keep it to "era correct", not the "bad 80s car photos" we all probably have :-)

So, if you have a period photo of a truck you STILL have, post them together!

The people in my photo are Mr and Mrs Klotthor, the original owners who had it until the year I restored it, not related to me.

My blue is nowhere near as "candy" as it looks in the photo, it looks much more like the original paint in person, but it photographs a lot deeper.

No idea when it was taken, but it was part of the truck's baby book that I got.

Re: Pre-73 photos of your Pre-73 Truck

Here's a picture of my 69 and me taken about a week after purchase in 1969 and a picture when I was nearing completion of the restoration (front bumper needed) a couple years ago.

Re: Pre-73 photos of your Pre-73 Truck

FirstOwner will win with a pic of his own truck, whereas the rest of us have to dig up archeological specimens!

I'm running them in part because he is, so I'm biased, but I do like those wheels!

I know this isn't my truck, but since its so close in spirit to the thread - here's me and my Dad putting the plate (116) on in 1970, and then me some 30-odd years later putting the same plate number on the same car with my son. And we've continued another 15 years after that! Five generations have ridden in it, but they didn't' keep my vinyl baby seat. How cool would that be to not only have the car but the baby seat you rode in?

Cool pictures, Dave. But, even cooler memories... eh?
