siezed up two piece driveshaft

So last weekend when I was installing the gears in my read end I noticed that my drive shaft was impossible to move where the slip yoke thing is in the middle. I tried taking off the big nut thing and moving it but it wouldn't budge. I'm gonna try again tomorrow and I'm thinking I may have to heat it up with the torch. Is this a bad idea? Has this happened to anyone on here? Any suggestions? Thanks.
