1966 C20 bags question
Hey guys I just got a 66 c20 camper special (although no camper) that I'm stoked to start building but have a few questions that I can't seem to find answers about. The end goal is to have a reliable truck that has front disc brakes and lays frame. When I'm looking online for ways to bag a c20 I keep finding all these great parts that are only for c10s. I think I can swap later model truck front suspension which would get me disc brakes but what about lowering? If my goal is to lay frame I'm going to be replacing most of the front suspension anyway right?

Re: 1966 C20 bags question
I was in the same boat as you but decided to swap over to half ton (c10) suspension. I found a truck 12bolt rear end and used 73-87 front end to use so I have power steering and power brakes. I cupped the lower control arms. I don't need to haul with the truck and don't care for 8 lug look. Most parts for the c10 and c20 will work on each other with minimal work.

Re: 1966 C20 bags question
I think converting is what I'm going to do. I have a 292 with a 4 speed on the floor is there a specific gearing I should look for with the rear end if I don't plan on hauling anything? Something that will be better at highway speeds.
