Two Tone Roof?

Anyone every spot one of our trucks with only the raised area of the roof painted a different color than the rest of the roof?

I just spent hours shifting through the pic threads and - nothing!

It seems like such a natural area to change the roof color.

Re: Two Tone Roof?

Here's mine full change from the flat black to the new color still underway, but you get the idea of what it looks like and I went ahead and paint matched bumper and the area around the grill as well to kinda tie it all together

Re: Two Tone Roof?

I plan to do my 66 with only the top painted cream. The rest is blue with cream wheels and dog dish caps. With wide white walls, 6 inch drop.

Re: Two Tone Roof?

I was thinking of doing this but on my panel. They typically stick to white, but I guess another color could be pulled off.

Oh, I see. I thought he meant just the roof instead of the whole top of the cab, but he meant to split the roof at the step at the back. I've never seen that before. Maybe something for the photoshop guys.

Re: Two Tone Roof?

Yes - sorry I stepped away from the thread but I was talking about just the raised portion of the roof.

You could do it in a vinyl sticker so it's not permanent, just to see how it would look.

Re: Two Tone Roof?

I don't have what you're looking for, but I found this for sale on CL a few weeks ago. I think this is closer to the GMC scheme, but I love how it keeps the main color on the doors and front pillars with the accent on the back and roof.
