Easy Tremec TKO crossmember
Hey guys,
Just thought Id share what I used for the TKO install in my small block GMC. This works on the assumption the engine is located in the stock place. I used the CPP towers for the engine. I figured the ECE 700R4 crossmember would be a good start. For mock-up I installed the crossmember backwards (with the mount tab towards the rear). This is due to the case clearance in front of the trans mount. I then lined the frame mounting holes up and found the proper engine angle. I settled on 4 degrees down. After that it was just a matter of moving the tab to the other side, removing 1/2" of its length and making it flush with the top of the cross tube. Weld it up & go. Hope this helps someone, Shane |

Re: Easy Tremec TKO crossmember
Shane curious about whether you are going to use the mid-shift location or keep the factor rear position and whether you have a bench or bucket seats... looking at the TKO and any insight would sure help.
