GMC 2wd to 4wd conversion

Going to be doing a conversion on my 64, putting a set of 73 3/4 ton springs and axles in, and curious if anyone has put a front axle and springs under their 2wd? Know basically how I'll do it but pictures or input from someone that's done it would be worth having

It's been done. If you search, there are a couple of posts about it.

Re: GMC 2wd to 4wd conversion

I would recommend checking out the 4x4 section of the forum. I would think the info you are looking for could be found there. The frames are basically the same '63-'72.
