Heres a couple of my wreck. 1970 GMC 250/6, 3/tree, 3.73, power discs, 5 bolt conversion. It has just enough heat to overcome the -50 wind that blows up through the holes in the floor

Front showing the nice bent up/rusty bumper:

Back showing rusty bumper and bowed tailgate.

Ahhh...nice classy Canadian interior complete with red wool blanket, eh?

Thanks to this board I am amassing many parts to fix this thing up to be a nice driver.

Well, here is my beater as I posted on the other beater thread. Bought it in January 2002 at an estate sale for $300. It hadn’t run for several years and was last registered in 1996. Added a new battery, HEI, plugs, wires, seat cover, hand me down carb, tire and wheels from a different truck projects then added power steering this past summer. Works great for runs to the dump or hauling greasy car parts and landscaping stuff for my never-ending house project.

Actually, the interior turned out pretty nice. Amazing what Armorall tire foam and a new seat cover can do.

If that is to me, not sure on exact lift, when I got it it was dropped a bit (maybe 4"), then I put in 2" blocks, then cut one ring of the coils (front and rear) to get it to sit where it's at.
In the next few weeks I will be putting bags on it.
Tires are 275/60/15's on 15x10's rear, 225/70/15 on 15x7's front.

Where did you get the 15x11, and where did you find a trim ring that big. Those look awesome!!!

And here are some pics of the 71 that I just picked up for $400. This will soon be my daily driver. And my uncle's 72 chevy beater.

I had the rims widend by a machinist frend he did em ni pporoblem he just split the rim and added a 3 inch ring I had to grind it and finish it so It looks good , I think It cost me $100 a wheel , and I still run factory trim rings , I really like the looks ,I beleive you can buy wide rallys from wheel vintiques as well.
