Here are some pictures of the oil pan powder coated in black. One next to the head for color comparison. I’m not sure if I like it black, and am considering painting it to match.
Ideas or suggestions appreciated.

I guess my thought was the oil pan will disappear under the truck, where the orange will show.
I guess the black will stay!

I vote paint the whole thing a shade of color just a little off from your trucks exterior.

My pan is orange but the engine is cast iron grey.

Black oil pan means you wont see the factory rust proofing that all SBC's seem to emit.
