Door shape

so I swapped my 67 cab for a 72. Last night I put the 67 doors on to test for fit before I repair the floor. What I found (on both sides) is that the center of the 67 door is too far in. I'm out of adjustment, but as the bottom sticks out a bit it's possible that the top of the door needs to come out, but I'm afraid (in part b/c I'm at the limit of the hinge mounting) that puts the top too far out; like the door is too flat and needs more angle from the bottom of the glass up; is this possible? is there a difference in outer appearance for 72 cab/doors? i have 1 72 door that came with the cab I will be setting back in place to see if it fits better. I also found the rest of my hinges that I couldn't find when I hung the 67 doors, so perhaps I have some bent hinges (or at the very least I'll use the 72 hinges???). Any other ideas? I don't need perfect gaps, but i want the panels to line up. Can anybody measure the gap at the top of the door between the cab and the door (thickness of weatehrstripping when shut)?

If I need 72 doors, can my 67 panels go on, or is teh layout different (I know the panels are different). And while I'm at it, anybody got a 72 drivers door near IL? rusted out bottom ok as I have a set of door bottoms.

Re: Door shape

These trucks had HORRIBLE panel gaps/alignment from the factory. I measured my 67 door vs. my dads 67 door one time and the width differed by 3/16"
