Re: widest wheel
Alot of people who run stupid wide wheels are doing a few different things as I see it. Alot of shops who do the work don't spell it out to avoid DIY copy cats.
They almost always go for atleast 20's. In order to get more overall clearance. They often order custom wheels in order to get the right backspacing. Narrowing the or shortening the a-arms to gain up to a inch I belive. I have seen a few clip a C10 with a Camaro or Mustang 2 front suspension to just get it done. I have also seen severely narrowed C10 crossmembers online. You can run wide 15's if that is your goal if you do the clip or severely narrowed crossmember. |

Re: widest wheel
what qualifies as stupid wide? Just want a better llok and better handling.8" front and 10" rear will work but if can go wider I want to. Have no problem shortening rear if need I do no want to be cutting frams and adding tubs.

Re: widest wheel
9-11" wheels easily fit within the space offered under the front clip of early C10's. 10-14" easily fit out back w/wheel tub mods.
How low the vehicle is impacts things. Backspacing will depend on the parts combo. Wheel diameter + parts combo impacts the back spacing.
