Throttle Cable question Please Help!!

Got a 71 that originally had a 6 cylinder in it. I have a v8 in it now but the throttle cable appears to be to long. Does anyone know if the inline 6 and v8 used a different length cable?

Re: Throttle Cable question Please Help!!

found out I have the wrong bracket... Anybody have the original cable bracket? The only one I have is the newer style that bolts to the back stud of the carb and the back intake bolt which sits the cable to far back.
