54 dash ideas - wiper know
We are painting the interior on my daughter's '54 chevy pickup and want to relocate the wiper knob. Anyone have some good ideas on how/where to relocate that? Would love to see ideas on removing the choke knob and throttle knob too. Won't need them when we put in the new motor. Maybe a USB phone charger???

Re: 54 dash ideas - wiper know
your truck has vacuum wipers with a wire controlled valve
any choke, vent or throttle cable can be used to control the wipers i used a vent cable to control my electric wipers (uses the vacuum operator) as for cleaning up the dash? cut them out and plug the holes they do make usb charge ports that replace the cigarette lighter my relocated wiper knob is next to the oem headlight switch

Re: 54 dash ideas - wiper know
I was just reading a post recently where the guy was working on his dash and relocating the wiper knob. For the like of me, I can't find it but I think he is one of the guys from Holland. He stated he had to turn the light switch, horizontal I think, to make room for the wiper switch on the left side of the light switch. There are pictures of his dash and I apologize for not remembering more. Clay
