Emergency Brakes
i have a question...
i own a 72 c10. when i got it it was a long bed 1/2 ton but i cut the frame down to a short bed. i dont know the original motor that was in it because when i got it it had a 383 stroker in it. but im guessing it was a standard 350. i ended up putting a 454 big block in it along with a TH400 tranny. i need to order the complete set for the emergency brake. in LmcTruck they dont have what i need in my year. for the first front cable they have one that says "front cable w/0 BB "a" 69-72" (a means without TH400) but i have a big block and a TH400. now i was wondering if i should just get the parts i need but for a 67 because i figured the frame and mounts are the same the only difference was the package i.e. the plastic door panels and the hood. thanks |

Re: Emergency Brakes
I don't know if this helps but I have a '67 shortbed that was a 6 banger/3 speed. I now have a big block with a turbo 350 tranny and my brake cables work fine. The only thing I noticed is that they are very close to the tranny crossmember,

Re: Emergency Brakes
First of all.....WELCOME to the truck board!!!
67-68 has a ebrake handle located under the column....after that they installed the foot ebrake...if you want to go new then try this website....http://www.inlinetube.com/ OR pay the truck board subscription fee of $25 and place a WTB (want to buy) ad over in the Parts for Sale area.....good luck
