Arrow Seat upholstery review and install

Review 11/21/2009

Brand: ???
Purchased: 6/30/2009
From: Brotherstrucks
Color: Palomino Vinyl with sandstone velour
Year: 1976 2wd regular cab with bench seat

Remove 4 bolts holding seat in and remove seats from cab. Remove any trim panels on the seat. Remove bolts (one on each side) to separate seat from back. Cut off all hog rings and remove old covers. Slide on new covers and use hogrings and pliers supplied. I would have liked to have seen a zipper on the bottom of the seat back like my Firebird interior had. It would have made installation a whole lot quicker then hog ringing it all down. They had to sew on the material for the hogrings to crimp to so really the only difference would be cost. How much more could a zipper really have cost them? Plus I think the zipper would allow for a more snug fit since there were a few spots that were not possible to hogring because of how the metal frame was designed. For the seat they just have a plastic J-channel that clips onto the frame, a real time saver. Hogrings only needed in a few places on the side. Once satisifed with the fit, cut out holes on the sides to allow the seatback bolts to fit in. The velour feels very nice and I will Scotchgard it to make sure it says looking good for as long as possible. Overall, I am pleased with the fit and look of this cover.
