Yup, that's what they'd be. 882's are pretty common "emissions" heads if my memory serves me correctly.

the emissions i don't know about . the rest u r right . they r good go fast head . the need little work to flow good. they like 170 or 180 cc runner . they work good for performance motor .

Are they the heavy casting 882 or the light? The light casting seems to crack bad.

would you be able to ship? If so, would it be safe so they wouldn't get damaged? Let me know.

Thanks,
- Ben

All 882's are emissions heads with 76cc chambers and about 160cc intakes, and are all light castings.

yup, open chamber 76 cc, 160cc intake runner smog head. They're light castings but not as light as the troublesome 462624s that are prone to cracking. They do have a reasonable flow on the intake but the chamber design makes it that they're not real performance heads, just nice. All in all, open chambered heads suck

882s were made in both castings.

The 74-75 were the heavier castings and in 76 GM went to the lighter castings.

Easiest way to tell is around the spark plug holes. ''Heavy'' heads are cast straight below the spark plug bosses, where light heads haves 'scallops' below the plugs.

Could I just drop them on, or would they need new seals? Fit an '83 K5 with 350?

Thank You 44th MISS INF.

I have 3 sets of these heads and ended up with 3 of each type of casting. They also have both 1.72 and 1.94 intake valves. Have 3 each of these also. The missmatch set was on my truck when i bought it, no wonder it didnt run good.
