Need help installing transmission

I have a 1972 K10 350/205 my automatic transmission will not go more then 30mph and leaks oil like crazy is there a guide on what nuts and bolts to remove to swap out an automatic 4X4 transmission? do I need to remove the adapter and the t/c

rear drive shaft
front shaft
transfer case
tranny

prettu much in that order.. it a PITA
but cheaper to do it yourself then paying a shop

When removing the case take out the four bolts that are holding the adapter and case to the trans.It will be a lot easier than leaving the adapter on the trans and pulling the case.

I took out the T/case, the adapter and remove all the bolts that attach the tranny to the engine but im having a problem sliding it out. it comes out about 3/4 of an inch then it wont budge, do I need to remove the stater or do I just need to hammer this thing out?

Unbolt the starter, you'll also need to unbolt the torque converter from the fly wheel, otherwise you'll mess up the trans pump...

Thanks guys for your help, It took me 3 days but it runs awesome no oilleaks I ended up removing the shafts, tranfercase, adapter, frame crossmember, and transmission in that order.

every time i dop a trannuy i end up with so much oily filth on me.. then my wife runs away cause all i want is a huuuugggg...
ha ha ha..
