Does anybody know if the 67-72 4x4 hubcaps with fit on a mid 80's pickup steel wheel?

Re: 67-72 hubcaps
Ok,if you're talking about 8-lug wheels/hubcaps,then 0nly the '69-newer ones will work. From '68-back 8-lug trucks used the old style wheels with inner clips, like cars had in the early '50s-back. Before '69 4wds didn't get hubcaps.

Re: 67-72 hubcaps
It's a good thing you said something before I went and got them I was wondering why I couldn't find pre 69 hubcaps for a pre 69 4x4 hubcaps. So they just ran a plain steel wheel on 4x4s then? I appreciate you letting me know about this.

Re: 67-72 hubcaps
Did you ever confirm,... 1/2-ton or 3/4-ton wheels?

Re: 67-72 hubcaps
Hey Keith,I had an unfair advantage of already reading about his '67 K2500 Super Custom he recently bought. He also lives around the corner from a good friend and owns one of his old trucks. So,even with a terrible memory I somehow already knew the answer...LOL
You can try to find a set of the 67/68 caps and cut holes for the front, then find old style wheels. Back then the 16s were all split rims and narrow, since wide 16s were not yet made. ll wide stuff was 16.5 back then. 6.5" 16.5s were an option,as well as 8.25s,then there were 9.75s in aftermarket. I may know where a set of 9.75 x 16.5 clip-style wheels are,if you want to get 16.5 tires. You can use real old hubcaps, like the ones that look like baby moons w/GMC logo. The 69-75 caps look good on the 16s and 73+ do to for that matter

Re: 67-72 hubcaps
There are a lot of options, I may be interested in those 9.75x16.5s I don't think cutting a hole would be hard, it seems there's a lot more dog dish hubcaps I could go with then to, if I decided to use the clip style. I haven't heard good things about split rims though.
