79 Drip rail question

Was the drip rail retainer painted the color of the cab top or was it black? Painter says black. I don't think he's correct. What's the answer?

I believe your painter is correct about them being black.

All the ones I've seen on original paint trucks have been black. The only only ones I've seen painted the color of the cab have been on re-paints where they didn't remove or mask them off.
