1987 Chevy R-10?

What is a Chevy R-10?

And how is it different from a C-10?

Re: 1987 Chevy R-10?

A little more info. In the summer of 87, the new body style trucks were coming out (those made from 88-98). The new line was taking over the C/K name. They renamed the old body style trucks since there was some overlap in the production. They were renamed R/V (R 2wd and V 4x4). The R/V series continued through 1991 with the blazer, suburbans, crewcabs and some cab and chassis models.

There were no C - K model trucks built in 1987.
The C 2wd models were replaced with the R model designation.
The K 4wd models were replaced with the V model designation.
