Re: 79 C10 swap with L92 with 6L90
Here is a link to the latest and greatest 73-87 LS swap on the net...
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=350986 Truck looks nice. Will be killer with the 6.2l too! Enjoy the swap, I know BRP hotrods in georgia sells a complete kit with mounts headers and some other stuff. Its kinda pricey I think. HOT ROD used that kit on the Muscle Truck they put a 5.7 LS1 in a few months back. You can find that artilce on there web site if you dont get the magazine.

Welcome to the forum. That truck looks really cool. Gonna be sick with the LS swap too. Good luck with the build and dont be afraid to ask lots of questions, lots of people willing to help on here.

Re: 79 C10 swap with L92 with 6L90
Update
I ordered engine mounts and headers from Speed & Performance and transmission parts are coming on Monday it will take them a day to put it back together but still we haven't decided were to get the torque converter. The shop that is working on engine ordered a cam for me 224 228,exhaust valves and spring that's all i know He will send the engine harness maybe this week or the next to a shop in other state so they convert it to standalone harness. AND i couldn't stay doing nothing so i trying to be productive appearance wise until all my parts come in I tinted my windshield i am loving it doesn't fell like its tinted from inside but on outside And i got myself a tailgate decal I am in love with it i only missing the rectangular part and i don't know were to get it. How dark did you do the windsheild?
It looks good and should help keep your dash from cracking anway.

Nice truck. I noticed in the engine pic that you have a transfer case mounted to the rear of the trans. Are you going to make it AWD?

Re: 79 C10 swap with L92 with 6L90
Most of the stuff are for intrior it's geting a total makeover. The stuff I installed today was only the extrior parts that was ordered. I got a new dash now I only need the autometer gauges so I work on it. I think I won't start on interior untill I get the engine & trans in. The trans is done still waiting for engine exhuast and mounts so we can start putting it in.

Re: 79 C10 swap with L92 with 6L90
Can you give us some details on the bed cover? And maybe some more pics of it and how it mounts.
Your truck is looking good!
