Installed CPP rear 5" drop coils...and now I have a problem.

After installing the coils, the sides are uneven. I have 1" difference measuring between the frame and the trailing arm. You can definitely notice that the passenger side coil is more compressed. The shocks are brand new and the part numbers on each coil match. Anyone ever experience this before?

I have not had this problem, but I know that the springs sit in "cups", make sure they are seated properly. That is most likely the issue...

If it isn't the cups on the trailing arms, Try contacting CPP jeff. Sounds like they may have been mis-labeled or just made wrong....
I've heard of people getting the wrong springs labeled correctly but not the right drop beore....from CPP and other vendors too....

Looks like you are sitting on jack stands? If so that will do it if one stand is in a different spot, even by the slightest amount. Or have ou checked with wheels on sitting on the ground?

i dont know if there is a difference on each end...but from the pics it looks like you installed them upside down..or might need an adjustable bar.

finish the installation including the adjustable panhard bar then center the rear housing with the adjustable panhard put wheels and tires on and see then what the result is in ride height

Yeah, I thought about that too but didn't notice a difference on the ends. I'll try playing around with the location of the jackstands and see if that makes a difference. Thanks guys.

Definitely good advice. I responded before your pictures were up. I wouldn't mess around with the jackstand location...just get it all installed and set it down and most likely it will be fine.

If you have the front wheels on an uneven surface or up on jack stands that can throw off the rear end as well.... As CDOWNS and others have said finish up the entire install, make sure your tires are all aired up to the correct pressure, then pull the truck onto level ground and measure the ground to wheel well or ground to marker lights on all 4 corners....There will be slight variation side to side, but that is to be expected.

Or...since it is so clean and easy to do ,why not swap the springs with each other and see if the problem reverses.

After it is all buttoned up, on the ground and ready to roll, if you still have the height difference issue, you probably have one spring installed upside down. They do look very similar at both ends...but there is a slight difference in them. I have CPP 5" rear drop springs and had the same problem. I flipped over the spring that was on the "taller" side and that solved it. It also helps to drive around for a while to help everything settle.

If you look closely at the photos you'll notice one of the three large loops are closer to the frame, on one it's closer on the top, and the other it's closer on the bottom. Just looking, it would appear one is upside down. IMHO.

Looks to me that on the pic on the right the cpp logo is upside down. On my truck you can read the logos. I'm guessing thats the one that is the wrong way.
