Help
Hello, I have a 1970 Chevrolet C10. I have had it for about a year and a half now and I have run into an issue. I was checking my vin identification(the 5 digit code in the beginning) and my trucks identification number indicates that my truck is a step side, even though it's a fleet side. My question is did they make 8 foot step side beds and is it possible they did a swap? It concerns me cause I want to restore my truck to factory defaults and if this is true I want to know so I can try and find an 8 foot step side.

Re: Help
The VIN does not contain indication of step side or fleet side. Can you post a picture of your sticker on the glove box door?

Re: Help
Look for the SPID (service parts identification decal) on the inside of the glovebox door. That's going to give you a lot more information.

Re: Help
They did make an 8’ step side bed. Very possible it has been swapped.
