Booster line removal
Any tips to get the booster line out of the intake manifold?
My junkyard motor came with the vacuum line fitting broken off inside, I'm trying to extract in. Google searches on the internet revealed nothing so I'm assuming its an easy fix...but it hasn't hit me over the head yet on how to get it out

Broken off like that it's going to be hard to fix, no glue will stick to it. About the best thing to do would be to tap the hole and put a brass fitting in it.

Sorry to go against better judgment. I ended up getting that little piece out of the intake, it's now soaking while I figure out what to do with getting a fitting/hose that works. I'd still like to go OEM, but can't find anyone that sells 'em. Guess I'll hit the dealer and see what it's gonna cost. In the mean time, a friend sent me a booster vacuum hose, but it appears to be from a different LS motor (he has both an LS1 and 5.3, don't remember which he sent me) because the fitting is different and won't fit in the hole in the back of the intake. Now that I have it off, I could just plug it and run with manual brakes for the meantime, but its a short term solution

I wouldn't say you went against better judgment, but how did you get the rest of the broken fitting out? I don't think the dealer is going to sell the broken fitting because it's not meant to be a servicable part, I think you're going to find they only sell the fitting that goes into the fitting that you broke. If you come up with a solution, I'd like to hear it because I have an intake with the same part broke off of it that I'd like to fix. I pulled it off an engine and swapped intakes with a good one, but would like to fix this one for another engine.
