flywheel & starter engagement Problem
Put in a 98 vortez 350, installed a long tail 350 tranny. Noticed the hum of the starter during engagement. Pulled the flywheel cover the starter a latemodel with off set mount holes lack about 1 inch from meeting the flywheel teeth. I heard that an old model starter 50's?-60's starter is off set will correct the smaller flywheel. Anyone have knowledge off that sort or will I have to pull tranny & replace the flywheel??? Help...Thanks ohh and if another starter will correct this what year starter??
