71 front clip on 85?

Hey Guys new here, I have found a good deal on an 85 C10 step side but I am much more of a fan of the 71/72 style. There is also a front clip with everything on C-list for a 71 and i was wondering if anyone has or had heard or this conversion across body styles. Thanks for any info. A-Big

With generous application of welder, beer, time, body filler, and money, I bet you could get it done!

Practically/realistically speaking...just buy a '71 or '72 if that's what you want.

Just build one or the other, they are completely different body wise.

You would probably spend more money trying to combine the two than just buying the one you want, not to mention it would look hidious IMO.

Body lines dont even come close.. Even if you did try, it wouldn't ever look good, you could spend thousands and it would always look like a hack job.

73 and up is not that difficult but 67 - 72 is impossible you might as well put a dodge front clip on

Hotchkis No Show... on 73-87 C10

Yeah, It's funny that Hotchkis seems to completely ignore the 73-87 on their web site, but just went all out on the pre 73 and also offer some stuff for 88 plus...what is up with that...?!?! Also sent an message via their web site with no response...

There may be at least as much handling performance potential in the 73-87 but it does make it easy if someone else like Hotchkis has already sorted everything, but you do pay for the "research"...

I am working on making a 73 handle and am considering a trailing arm add...nascar style...something like this...

http://www.porterbuiltfabrication.co...-for-73-87-C10

Have not yet decided what to do up front yet...but it is fun checking it out. Anybody want to chime in here?

Spla’nin – All of the incoming E-mails get looked at. How long ago did you send it? If we don’t hear that the 73-87 guys want parts, we don’t know there’s an audience for them. Sometimes it’s better if you call our toll free number (888-735-6425) and speak to our tech crew to get the answers right away. We always like to hear what we don’t…but should be building.

How many ’73-’87 owners does this forum have that are interested in track days, autocrossing, and all around great handling? We’d love to hear from all of you!

71 clip on a 85? Any thing is possible but it wouldnt look right. Kinda like a guy with breast implants. Better off getting what you really want, even if it costs more.

I had left a question on the website about 10 days ago pertaining to A arms for 73-87 and if there was an application or not under "contact"...

Looking back now, I may have over looked the additional required fields right above the message box because of the lower red on black visibility factor...just saying...although the info was in the message and I don't remember a "required field missing warning" coming up...

I am also a previous satisfied customer who checked with your website...for bolt on handling performance for 73-87 c10 stuff.

Thanks for chiming in & let us know if / when your product line applys to us.
