Fair Market Value - 67 Front Clip

I have located a complete, rust free and laser straight 67 front clip. Its been inside up in a dry hay loft for 26 years. I have not seen it yet as I will be looking at it this coming Saturday.

What is the fair market value?

I paid 250 for a 68 front clip. It is in pretty good shape. Not 100% rust free or dent free. I would say for a laser straight requiring you to only sand down to bare metal and epoxy primer and not do any patches or hammer and dolly work, that would be worth 350 to 4 to me. It always depends on how much cash you have in your pocket as well.

I have been pricing it out new or aftermarket I should say, radiator support, grill headlights, hood, fenders added up quick to 1300-1500. So 500 would be a great deal.

A front clip in a hay loft? There is no front clip, that's the old widowed farmer's wife's way of getting you up into the hay loft. Or it's the big burly farmhand's way of getting you up there.

A perfect front clip could go for over a grand. I paid $300 for a pretty nice 67 clip not long ago.

if it's laser straight with no rust AT ALL I'd personally pay up to 650-700 for a clip if I were in need of one. That's 100-150 for a perfect hood, 100-150 per fender, 200-250 for a complete grill, 50-100 for the splash pan, and 100 per inner fender (900 actually if you add the top amounts and they are on the low side honestly) less than aftermarket and you can see if the fitment is good of course...

No less than $500 and maybe $1,000 max. Figure what a good no rust in the lip no bow in the top 67/68 hood,good no rust under the battery fenders,straight clean grille,trim/bezels,hood letters,and clean core support are worth separately. Might get a group discount or maybe pay more for finding the highly desired parts in one shot in prime condition. Might get real lucky at $300,but that's steel.I figure the hood is worth that. In my mind,any prime used OEM is worth at least as much as repro. Value depends a lot on how much work required to get paint on them. Time is money.

Id pay $500 for a rust free hood , I know they exist but because of where I live I've never seen one , we need a STICKY with info on 67 front clips as it seems everybody wants one on their truck LOL

What I've seen at swap meets, and this is for stuff that is in good condition, with minimal work to use:

Hood - $100 (sorry other's can't find them, I paid $80 for a near perfect one 2 years ago and there were several at charlotte for around $100 recently).
Fenders - $100-120 each
Inner Fenders - $80-100 each
Grille - $150
Core support $100-150

Then there's all the trim, headlight buckets, etc that can add up to a couple hundred as well, so a complete nice clip sold in pieces could bring over a grand.

I would say that front clip would be on the parts for sale section of this forum here for 700-1000 if it rust free and there would be a line of people trying to buy it. That's my guess.

Ive seen rust free 67 fenders go for $250+, especially the Right I agree, $700-1000 just depending on original paint, etc. .. but it sounds like that's what it is. If it has CST trim on it, even more.

Post up some pictures of it if you get it. Id just like to see it.

yes, yes you do. Good doors go from 250-350 (or more) depending on the demand and how nice....

My plan at one point was to fly out and buy a rust free longbed (running/driving) for 2500 or under (see them sell for that-(or less) all the time in WA/CA/NV/CO) and put a nice cab with doors on it in the bed, tow a trailer behind it with a short bed complete on it with another cab in it with doors and fill inside the cab and around it with doors and fenders....

That would work and there have been guys doing it for years,including me (on whole trucks). I've talked with some members out there about an East/West connection before...nothing done yet. My '67 project is using a rust free California cab I bought at Carlisle,PA 15 or so years ago for $500 and people thought I was nuts. Who's laughing now?

I'd wait and see how much he asks then "haggle" if it seems high. If it looks great and he gives you whatever you consider cheap-JUMP ON IT!

I bought a clip for $440 including shipping. $210 for fenders (shipped), $200 for a perfect grille in primer, and $30 for a rust free hood. I also have a 68 front clip in real great condition, but I don't know what I'll be doing with it.

I figure any clean used OEM sheet metal is worth at least as much as a reproduction piece. That's how I figure the value of the hoods and so many having rust on front lips helps value of good ones too. Reproduction parts cost as much in Los Angeles as they do in New York is how I look at it. If you find a hood for $100,more power to ya. But,they are worth more

I just paid 250 for my 68 clip last weekend, all minty except my hood, my buddy paid 400 for hid in high build, but we live in the rust free desert belt, just bought a nice box and two tailgates last night for 300.
If I lived in the rust belt I'd shoot myself.
