1968 Manual Trans Backup (reverse) light problem!
I have a 1968 C-10 with a manual three speed on the column. The Reverse light switch located under the dash on the top of the column works when removed and actuated manually. But when I go into reverse, the linkage that touches this switch is too far aft (toward the steering wheel) to make good contact with the switch. Is there anyway to adjust this linkage??? It needs to be about a 1/4 of an inch towards the front of the car to work. Thank you for your help!

Re: 1968 Manual Trans Backup (reverse) light problem!
Welcome to the forum.
I am not all that familiar with the 3 speed column shift set up... I would look at the linkages and bushings real close... could be worn out. If we don't get a good answer, I'll move this to the main board for you. |
