Removing cab on 66 stepside

Hi, new member here, thank you for allowing to be a member. just got my '66 stepside and want to remove the cab from the frame. However, I'm lazy can I remove it with the front sheet metal (fenders and grille etc. still attached) I don't want to damage anything. I tried searcing the forum but came up with nothing. thanks for your help.

it's possible, but separation of the front clip is definitely easier.

Hi Figuarus, thanks for replying, can I remove the fenders/grille/ radiator filler as a unit ? it sure would make it a lot simpler to do. how about with the hood? Thankyou, Jimmy

yes you can separate the fenders and the course support as 1 unit. The hood will have to come off on its own. Once you have the front clip off, make sure to save all your hardware, and have someone help you lift it off the frame
